About this site

That's right, we're (finally) getting married, and we want to celebrate with you! We created this site to help you with logistics, including how to get to wedding events, where to stay in Portland, and how to get around. Also, we have a registry.

We hope you can make it to one or all of the parties!

Love,
Josh and Jessica

Final wedding details

Dear family and friends,

It's t-minus 3 days until our wedding - and we are so excited to celebrate with you this Saturday! Here are a few last-minute thoughts:

1. After the ceremony and brunch, we thought a few of you might like to say a toast. Our friend Michelle will be the "toast MC"; if you would like to be added to her list, you can let her know by email (mpoyourow[at]gmail[dot]com) or in person on the day of the party (here's what she looks like, complete with microphone: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bikeportland/2357775127/).

2. If any of you are staying downtown, you should know that Saturday night is the annual Starlight Run and Parade that will make driving in downtown very challenging between about 7 pm and midnight, so it could be a problem for getting back to the hotel after our BBQ. Here’s more info (http://www.rosefestival.org/events/starlightparade/) and the route map (http://www.rosefestival.org/events/starlightparade/route_map.gif). If you prefer to take public transport, it’s quite easy between downtown and both the ceremony venue and our house; we can help you make a good route plan. Let us know if you’d like that.

3. We were hoping to have event bike parking at the venue, but city permitting requirements have ruled that out. That means that bike parking will be something of a free-for-all - sorry about that, and good luck with creative parking!!

See you on Saturday,
Josh and Jessica

  • Ace Hotel (downtown, hip, two loaner Dutch bikes for guests)
  • Jupiter Hotel (cheap, rock & roll vibe, not quiet, bikes for guests)
  • Hotel Monaco (downtown boutique hotel in Kimpton family; loaner bikes for guests)
